I fancied up this feather wreath and I am pretty happy with the results. I added the garland by wrapping it and then hot glued the ornaments and it looks festive and unique.
With Christmas coming up, I have mostly been focusing on making more products for Made with Loving Hands. I really wanted to go to some craft shows during the holiday season, but it is just way to busy with college classes and longer work schedule. It will have to be a goal for next year. I am pretty happy with how things are working out with the business, but I do want to work towards having more products in local boutiques and get the online store running better. Thanks for all the support! Any suggestions or advice is always welcome
Happy Holidays, Feliz Navidad, Merry Christmas Joy!
The Booth, we had a malfunction with our shutter display because it was just a little windy and it fell over. I am going to have to figure out something new. The new suit case display has worked great though!

Eva & Marie's attended their first Clare Farmer/Art Market. It was a beautiful day, bright and sunny. We listened to wonderful tunes from the band playing in the park. Fresh arts and produce filled up the small lot near the water tower. It was a great time enjoying fresh air and talking to nearby venders and passerbyers. It was nice to be back in Clare and see some familiar faces. The Market is held every Thursday from 4-8 until the end of the farming season. I am going to try and attend whenever I do not work my 'normal' job. Check it out and support local goods!
Clare Art Market: May 31-end of season 4-8pm
(Thursdays, park near the watertower)
Midland Artists' Market: June 2 & 20, 7am-1pm
Mt. Pleasant Summerfest: August 2-4 downtown
That's all for now, I will keep events posted
This year we were outside and it was freezing cold. We sat out in the weather and greeted the people that came into our circus tent of accessories. Some of the new hair flair and foreign coins seemed to catch peoples' eyes. It wasn't the greatest weather so the turn out was not as good, but next year we hope to be inside. It was wonderful seeing families and friends and all the community who support the local area.
Thanks to everyone who participated and made it another great show!

New ideas have sparked and I have decided to try making some hair pieces. I'm hoping to have more time soon to make more and share photos here online. There will be hair clip pieces, hard headbands, stretchy headbands.
Another thought has been having hypo-allergenic earrings and clip-on earrings because they were suggested by multiple customers at the shows this past year. I have also been looking into some sterling silver plated rings because people are concerned with purchasing cheap rings that tarnish and turn fingers weird colors. Also we have found a nice bead shop that offers some genuine stone beads because it was another suggestion.
Feathers are also becoming very popular this accessory season so we will include them in our earrings, necklaces, and hairpieces.
I haven't heard of any craft shows in the area, but I am going to try and find some so that we can kick off the end of our first year as Eva & Marie's. We have all learned a lot this year and the experience has been a great one. Hope it continues to grow.

Shepherd Maple Syrup Festival!
April 2011
Thanks to Anyone who stopped by to visit and for all the support from our customers!
First time at the Maple Syrup Festival! It was a great turnout with lots of vendors and people coming through the arts and crafts. The weather was great and made it a good turnout for all ages. It was a fun filled weekend of fair food, memories, laughter, meeting fellow crafters, visiting with family and friends, and lovely handmade goods everywhere!
